Bishop Laurie Green

Laurie Green was born in Newham in the East End of London, the son of a bus driver and a factory worker. His autobiography Jesus and Jellied Eels, tells of his remarkable journey from working in a jellied eel factory to becoming a bishop of the Church of England. Laurie is retired and lives Bexhill in Sussex.

He has written extensively on theology and urban ministry, and his book Let's Do Theology is used extensively in colleges and elsewhere for training in practical and engaged theology.
